I managed to read the SQLite database of WhatsApp messages all right, but these're not live! I need to go to WhatsApp to do a backup to get live database. Is these any way for me to do that perhaps with an ADB command or is there some other ways to do it programmatically?

Get the key and database file from your android device. Open the WhatsApp viewer app. Go to File>Open>select file; Open the folder ‘extracted’ and select msgstore.db; In the account name, you can leave the field empty. It is also optional to import contact names from the wa.bd file. Click on the chat you want to view the messages.
